Official Disclaimer:
The software to use your Wii remote as a PC mouse is all homebrew software. The Wii Remote is not natively supported as an interface device for a PC. There may be the inconsistent response from some programs when using it as a pointing device. However, it’s still cool.
Step 1: Preparations
Before you can use your Wii Remote as a PC mouse, you will need to know a few things:
Step 2: Activate/Install Bluetooth
If you do not already have a Bluetooth Dongle you can buy them at most office supply and big box computer retail stores. Once you have one simply follow the instructions in the package to install the driver and activate the Bluetooth features of your PC.
If your PC has Bluetooth built in, you should make sure it is properly enabled under your operating system. Windows 7 Users can follow this procedure to verify and activate Bluetooth:

Step 4: Synchronize Wii Remote with PC
The activation and synchronization of your Wii Remote (and Classic Controller in some cases) is fairly straightforward. You add the Wii Remote like you add any other Bluetooth enabled device in your operating system.
For Windows 7/ GlovePIE users you can follow this process:
Mac os x programs download. Closing
Now that you’ve got the device added to the system, all you should need to do is turn on the sensor bar (or your Nintendo Wii). Place it on top of or below your monitor (just like you do your TV when playing Wii). Provided everything is running properly you should now see the mouse respond to your Wii remote movements. Congratulations!

Wii Remote Cheap
I have been trying to connect my NEW RVL-CNT-01-TR wii remote to my iMac 2011, but as soon as it connects it drops and will not stay connected.
So I went to try with an older wii remote (No motionplus) but it gives me the same issue. Does anyone know what the issue might be? I have tried deleting my com.apple.bluetooth.plist file to reset bluetooth but that didn't seem to help. I also tried to delete SmashEnabler.kext to see if it was an issue with that and still nothing. Anyone know if this is an issue with El Capitan, as I remember hearing they changed a lot of things that broke USB for example. (I also remember having my Wiimote connected to my mac before updating) Comments are closed.
